A Doodle

Doodle by Cindy Williams

I was watching TV with the hubby and just was too tired to do any significant art. I mean, sometimes when I am tired, I absolutely cannot concentrate.

I even had to take a nap this evening.

So, in order to not “think” too hard about painting, or drawing, I decided to doodle.

On a doodle, you don’t have to be perfect, you don’t have to work for an hour just on the eyes, and your mind can be free to just wander.

So, this is my challenge to you who are artists, just doodle. And let us see your creation.

I don’t get to spend much time with the hubby. So instead of being up in my art studio I sit in the living room with him and draw whilst the TV is blaring in the background.

A lot of the time, football is on. Now when I say “football”, I mean soccer.

And if I am in the middle of a painting and there is an exciting game, then I don’t get a lot of painting done. So that night, if I post on my blog, it will only be small amount of painting I have done so at least I will have something to show you, like “my next step”. (Works in Progress or WIP).

Some evenings, I just get my “Art Deco” books out and try to get inspiration.  I do love looking through those books. One of my MANY favorite artists is ERTE.  He was one of the leading artists in the Art Deco era.  I will write a post about that.

When I am at home getting some serious painting done on my “Divas”, I get on my Amazon Prime music and play my playlist of 20s and 30s music. It gives me inspiration.

I hope to get some proper painting done tomorrow. I need to get myself organized , I mean, “for real”, as I have some shows coming up and I need to get frames and everything that goes with it.

So for now, I am going to say “Ta-ra”… and have a good night.

Thanks for dropping by,
Cindy Williams

  1. not bad for a doodle! I don’t doodle or do quick sketches enough but it always surprises me when I manage to draw something quickly and it turns out to be pretty decent – mind you I don’t do people and that would be a real challenge. – Have a nice break!

I love all my Readers! Thank you for your kind comments :)
