This work in progress is taking a while. But it's coming together. I had done this before in a smaller version but I didn't like it. So now, this is going to be a 16x12" pastel painting, and it is forming a bit better.
I hope today finds you healthy and happy. Thanks for dropping by, I appreciate you all! Cindy
This is my latest step on my work in progress. As you can see I am behind on my 30 day painting challenge. This is Day 8....
Thank you for dropping by I appreciate you all! Cindy
On my Facebook Group (Cindy's Art) I posted this picture and wrote "The Birth of a New Painting".
It got people's attention. So if you are an artist, you should try to get people's attention in various ways. My plan for this painting is taking several pictures... throughout my progress, and make videos like I USED to do, for my YouTube channel. I plan on making some QR codes for each of these paintings, for the videos I will make, and whilst people are visiting my art exhibitions, they can scan the QR codes and see the VIDEO to see the process behind the painting. That's my plan anyway. This beautiful DIVA is the lovely "Fay Wray", another silent film actress from the 1920's. She is known for the first King Kong movie. OK, I am off now, I hope you all have a great day. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you all! Cindy
I decided to call this my Day 3 & 4 painting day ha ha. I wasn't able to work on the painting yesterday. This was done on Watercolour paper with a watercolour under-painting. I think it makes the colour richer. BUT I think I will do it on a better paper or even next time use my Canson paper. The only thing when I use pastel paper, it isn't really good for watercolour.
This is a 11x8" painting. I think next time I will make it bigger. I just need enough room to put in more detail. Thanks for dropping by. I appreciate you all! Cindy
Not a lot of time to paint today so I decided to make a little start on the bee. At least you can see the painting is starting to come together a bit now.
Thank goodness for layering, because a Blue Bee just isn't right... 🙂 I was always told in watercolor, never use black. Thanks for dropping by, I appreciate you all! 🙂
