This work in progress is taking a while. But it's coming together. I had done this before in a smaller version but I didn't like it. So now, this is going to be a 16x12" pastel painting, and it is forming a bit better.
Pola Negri was another silent film actress and lived to the ripe-old age of 90. You can find out about her in this Wiki site. And there is also a Pola Negri appreciation site.
Wow I am actually going to do a painting on the first day of the month! I can't believe it is September already. I may not (probably WON'T) get this painting done today. It is a 20x16", which is big for me, I usually do no bigger than 12x16" but I like trying new things. I was even contemplating getting bigger paper for a big painting. We will have to see what happens. Lots of my online friends have joined together in painting 30 paintings in 30 days ( a challenge by Leslie Saeta). I wasn't going to do it at first because I mentioned to you earlier that I am so out of practice. But I decided to add this and when I am finished, to add the finished product. So here is my starting entry for the month. (I hope it isn't my last one haha) 🙂
