Big Drawing on Big Paper

I stayed up past my bedtime last night, which I am feeling it now.

However, if you have been following along, I bet you are wondering what I did with that big paper

OK… now, this is just a work in progress. I had to make it a bit darker for you to be able to see it.

It’s really a big painting for me, but I am ready for bigger 🙂

I have decided I love painting BIG!

If you are an artist… do you paint BIG or SMALL?

I took my drawing to my group tonight. It is fun to share with others and talk with others whilst you are drawing.

I like getting up and going around the room looking at what everyone is doing. And everybody is so nice 🙂

A little lady that goes to the art group, has a friend that is an author. Well the author lady came a few weeks ago to our group and told us all that she is writing a new book about the history of Redditch (UK). And it is going to be a children’s book.

So each of us has had to come up with a piece of art to be included in her book! YAY! 🙂

I brought my drawing tonight (it’s one that I haven’t shown anyone) and she is happy with it. I will paint it soon and then give the piece of art to her. She has to write the book so it can possibly take 6 months. But, I probably will have forgotten about my piece of artwork by then haha.

Can you tell me in the comments what you are doing this month, or in the months to come, if you are an artist? You can even post comments if you aren’t an artist 🙂

Today my art is #202 on Leslie Saeta’s art challenge.

Thanks for dropping by I appreciate all of my readers 🙂

Thank you to all my readers.

Ciao for now!

  1. Your BIG pieces is looking good. Congrats about the painting for the book – make sure you take a photo before you hand it over. For me the next 6 days are all about art shows and displays – setting up, talking to people and hopefully selling then taking down and then doing it again. After that I think I will collapse for a few days – lol

  2. Wow this is going to be great Cindy 🙂 So awesome to have your art included, be sure to share it with us when you can 🙂 Right now, I am working on the challenge. Also 6 pieces for a friend. and Four pieces for another friend who just moved into a new house. Matter of fact, they both moved into new houses.

  3. This seems to have a different feel to your small paintings. I look forward to seeing how it progresses.

I paint big and small. The small ones sell well and the large ones take their time. I would love to be able to paint and sell big paintings all the time.

Currently I’m creating 30 Abstracts for the Leslie Saeta 30 day challenge. Also the largest show of the year is this coming weekend and I’m working on the final details for that. I’m living in a mad house with every painting out of storage and in various stages of cataloging and readiness.

I dropped 12 new paintings off at my gallery today and 6 more to a gift shop. I picked up others which now need prep for the show.

I’m aiming to develop two ideas in the next few months. One is matted prints through a platform like Etsy with a sneak reveal at the show this weekend and the other is a secret for now.

I’m truly looking forward to next Monday when I can take a breather.

I love all my Readers! Thank you for your kind comments :)
