OK, today after work, I stopped at the art store. I LOVE that little place it’s so small, yet big on the inside.

It’s like an ART TARDIS! 🙂

So I picked up 2 sheets of paper and a couple of backing boards today. The paper isn’t cheap so I want to take my time.

 

I did say in my last post that I wanted to paint really big. I’m going to paint a big 24×20″ painting. (well, it’s big for ME).

Next week, I am invited to a meeting that will go forward for an art exhibition. I am going to see what it’s all about first, to see if I want to continue forward. I hope it works out.

And I am waiting for October to come around (I am not hurrying it, just patiently waiting).  I have an opportunity coming up that I really want to come to fruition! FINGERS CROSSED!

 

 

 

Today I had an idea to get hold of one of my friends and ask her to go paint with me. I think it would be fun to go to some gardens or just a part of town or riverside, pub, etc… and have a go at painting from real life.

 

In a few weeks we will sync our calendars I think, because both of us are busy at different things right now.  And it will be nice to just sit, take our sketch books and paint and talk and vent to each other. 🙂

Did I tell you I joined a little art society? So on Tuesday nights we go and paint together. Wow it’s really weird that I am not the oldest one! There are quite a few older than me, and a few that are younger. It is fun to paint and talk and not have interruptions. We don’t have a “class” we just bring our art that we are working on, and the time goes too fast!

 

So there you have it… some cool things coming up.

I am glad I joined a painting challenge this month, yet I haven’t painted a new painting every day.  BUT, I am getting back into painting. I have done about 30mins to 1 hour per day. At the moment that is what I am aiming for.

 

I have to do exercise everyday for my health so that takes time, sometimes it takes an hour.  So I am trying to balance everything between job/health/painting/personal time.

OK, that’s enough, I have 3 paintings I’m working on now haha. But it keeps me from being bored, so you might see different posts going back and forth between all of them.

They are all different sizes.
