I went to bed late, and got up WAY TOO EARLY.
I thought I might do a bit more on my little sketch.
The thing about doing a study, is I realize what I did wrong, what I need to do next time, and try some different things.
I found I need to do an underpainting FIRST. And then make sure I use a ruler.
So, I will know what I want to do for a huge painting next time.
I have been thinking about looking for some MASSIVE sheets of paper, I think it would be so much fun to make a bigger painting than 20×16″. I’m going to check it out online. I was even thinking of using something I haven’t used before, Ampersand. I’ve seen Ampersand “Pastelbord” and “Claybord”. I have heard some oil painters say they will not use the claybord but I think it would be ok for pastels.
I don’t know, but I will try it.
Here is the next step on my sketch.
My last post I was off to bed.
This post I am off to work!
Thanks for dropping by, I will try to do some painting this evening 🙂
Ciao for now!

Oh Boy are you planning something challenging! I have used watercolor paper with charcoal with good success if you are looking for something large. I imagine pastel would work well too. Have fun!
Have fun trying new things, and let us know what you think 🙂
